Are You Ready For A Website Update?

By December 3, 2018 January 10th, 2024 Website Update

Before you answer, consider these 2 questions:

  1. When was your website created for your company?
  2. Have you made any changes since it was first built?

If you answered before 2016 to #1, and “no” to #2, you need a website update in 2019.

“But, none of my customers have made any complaints about my site”

Keeping your website fresh with new content will earn compliments from your customers. If you aren’t hearing complaints or compliments, a website update is in order. Add new projects, testimonials, and frequently asked questions to your site on a regular basis. Potential clients want to see that you are active in the business you represent.

When adding content, think about the types of things you would be looking for if you were the consumer. No one knows your customer better. Would you want to see new products, reviews, behind the scenes? Adding these elements to your site will give customers a reason to keep returning to your site and recommending it to their friends.

“I just refreshed my site a few years ago”

Over half of all web traffic is now consumed on a mobile device which means your clients are viewing your website on a mobile device. If it has been a few years since you last made an update to your site it may not be viewable on mobile or responsive to different screen sizes. Take a look at your site on mobile. Is everything showing correctly without having to scroll left or right? Is your site responsive as you scroll down the page? If you see any issues, your site has not been optimized for viewing on a mobile device.

Adding new content also helps with search engine optimization(SEO). Google will also crawl your site more often if you are keeping your website fresh and updated. Are you ready for a website refresh in 2019? Give us a call today and we can get started!
