Your website should be the best selling tool for your company. Is your website capturing the attention of your ideal customer and turning them into leads? If your website visitors have dropped recently or your visitors are not filling out your contact form, we have some suggestions for tweaking your website to turn the visitors into leads.

Is Your Website Mobile Friendly?

We can’t stress this enough! Over half of all internet users are browsing from a mobile device. Google has stated that they will start ranking websites with a responsive design {means that a website will shrink down for a mobile device without losing functionality} higher in search. This means that responsive sites will start ranking higher and your website will be found easier.

How Strong is Your Landing Page?

Do you have clear calls-to-action (CTA) on your landing pages? Do you have more than one landing page for users entering your site from social media, ads, etc? According to Hubspot, websites with over 5 landing pages have more leads generated than sites with 1-5.

Call To Action

Make your CTA stand out from the rest of the website and tell the user exactly what you want them to do and what they will get when they complete the task. Example: you want the user to download your ebook. Create a landing page that tells the user exactly where to click to get the download, and why they should download your ebook. Is it to get more information on a topic? Let them know exactly what is in it for them and start building your leads.

Forms

Are your forms easy to use? Name, email address and a phone number are a quick and easy way for the user to engage with your site and you get a lead in return. Users tend to shy away from forms that ask too much information or take too long to fill out.

Video & Beautiful Photography

Let’s face it, millennials have changed digital marketing for everyone. They have disrupted the industry and it looks like it isn’t going to change any time soon. People are looking for a glimpse into “real life” and “behind the scenes” like no other time in history. Video sells. Professional video is great, but users are looking for a “real life” look into your business. Video testimonials are also becoming more popular on sites and are more powerful than a written review.

Stock photography is great for certain instances, but users want to see your “real” business featured on the site. Use team photos, photos of your office, etc. Only use clear, bright images to showcase your business and give a good first impression of you and your company.

Update Every Quarter

Your website is not a 1 time endeavor. Think of it as a marketing piece of your online presence that always needs to be revisited and updated on at least a quarterly basis. What is working? Are most of your leads coming in on a specific landing page? Try creating another one like it and see if it can replace an under performing page. Keep your website content fresh and updated and let the leads start pouring in.
